In November 2016, A Biographical Encyclopedia of Early Modern Englishwomen: Exemplary Lives and Memorable Acts, 1500-1650 * was published by Routledge. I wrote 18 entries for the encyclopaedia (including Agnes Howard née Tilney, Katherine Howard‘s step-grandmother, and several of the Pendle Witches)
In July 2016, I gave a paper entitled A Guild for Prostitutes? Rethinking Prostitution and the Onestà in Renaissance Florence at the Society for Renaissance Studies 7th biennial conference in sunny Glasgow.
In March 2013, I gave a paper entitled Prostitution in Renaissance Florence: facilitation, control and exploitation at the Dangerous Women and Women in Danger conference at Queen’s University, Belfast.
